UK Yoga Retreat

9-11th Nov 2021

Norfolk, UK

We all need nourishing movement to lift our bodies in life.

Stagnant energy can make us all slump, even in these intermittent seasons and times of change, poor posture and busy lives hinder our ability to reset.

Breath work has always been pivotal within my work and practice and a time spent focusing in breathing more deeply to get energy into our bodies and our cells still remains both the best and most synergistic repair we can make in life to ourselves.

The energy of our breath is also known as Prana Vayu, the air we draw into our bodies creates space between the cells. Once we cultivate this space and energy, we can journey a deeper, slower and still posture to open us up to a greater sense of awareness within.

I think the location and starting point as a topic have aligned perfectly and this special retreat will be turning to the nature of autumn/ winter, nourishing our bodies with warm immunity boosting diet, and weaving threads of yogi philosophy from the Yamas into our practice to take away into our everyday lives…

Sunday 26th September

A workshop to prepare body mind and soul for a healthful autumn transition into winter.

Becky will guide you through an invigorating warm flow to stimulate the circulatory system, moving deeper into twists ad longer holds to stimulate the digestive and respiratory systems.

For the second part of this workshop we will be tapping into the parasympathetic nervous system and re-awaken the body’s intelligence for self-healing and homeostasis so energy can freely travel through areas that might be blocked from stress and tension. Think melting and softening into bolsters, pillows and blankets… allowing the body to become more buoyant and free.

There will be an additional dynamic to this beautiful workshop, where Becky will be using essential oils on specific pulse points known for boosting immunity.

We will be finishing with a delicious vegan immune boosting soup so we can complete the practice by nourishing the whole body from the inside out, where there will also be time to chat, shares stories and ask questions.

Sunday 22nd August

This class indulgent class transitions you through a number of beautifully grounded postures, with the use of props and bolsters to support the body and encourage the muscles to let go and relax.

When your life is racing full-speed ahead, so is your mind. Restorative yoga helps provide that physical and mental balance to prevent stress and anxiety, through the use of props that support the body and allow you to hold poses longer, giving you all the benefits of deep, passive stretching.

This is the perfect class to rest, nourish and support ourselves, to find balance by allowing the body and mind to return back to a state of equanimity and peace.
